Li Chun Festival February 4, 2024
The festival known as Li Chun dates back to 206BC, is celebrated by the Chinese to welcome the first day of spring. According to the Chinese Almanac, the official change date and time of the arrival of the Yang Wood Dragon is February 4 at 4:27 pm. This is an important date as it is the day of the changeover of the Annual Ruling Zodiac sign from Yin Water Rabbit to the Yang Wood Dragon Sign. The Annual Ruling Zodiac sign is also known as the Grand Duke Jupiter or Tai Shui in Mandarin.
According to Wikipedia
The traditional Chinese calendar divides a year into 24 solar terms. The first one is known as lichun in Chinese, risshun in Japanese, ipchun in Korean, and lập xuân in Vietnamese. It begins when the Sun reaches the celestial longitude of 315° and ends when it reaches the longitude of 330°. It more often refers in particular to the day when the Sun is exactly at the celestial longitude of 315°. In the Gregorian calendar, it usually begins around February 4 and ends around February 18 (February 19 East Asia time). It’s also the beginning of a sexagenary cycle.
Depositing Money on Li Chun Day
Alon
g with this festival is also the tradition of depositing money into your bank account to increase your money luck for the year.
I have put together a list of auspicious timings best for each of the 12 zodiacs to bank in money on this day. However, there are many versions of this list of timings by different Masters from different schools of thought. So, once again, follow your inner guidance as to which list of timings you wish to follow.
Do keep in mind that when you deposit money via ATM, it takes at least a day for the amount to reflect in your account. Early bird catches the worm is the saying; if you deposit on the 4th, it will definitely reflect in your account by the 5th.
Wishing everyone a Fabulous Yang Wood Dragon Year!
